Journal of Horticulture and Postharvest Research

All articles should be written in English. The manuscript should be prepared according to the JHPR format as provided in the ‘Instructions for Authors’. Manuscripts should be submitted online through our website (http://www.jhpr.birjand.ac.ir) and should be submitted by the corresponding author along with a cover letter declaring that “The authors have no conflicting interests, and all authors have approved the manuscript and agree with its submission to the Journal of Horticulture and Postharvest Research (JHPR)”. Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published review or thesis), and it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. First-time users of the online submission system must register for an account. The title page should include the authors' full names and affiliations, the name of the corresponding author along with phone, fax, and E-mail information. The cover letter should be typed in a separate Word format file submitted online.

There are no manuscript submission and handling fees in JHPR, for articles up to 12 typeset pages (A4) roughly equal to 6000 words, for non-Iranian authors. However, foreign authors need to review three papers for the JHPR if their article is published by JHPR.

 

Iranian authors should pay publication fee. When JHPR confirms the acceptance of an article, Iranian authors have to submit article publication charges. Please pay attention to check for grammatical errors and mistakes in the manuscript and correct them carefully before submission.

Electronic proofs will be sent to the corresponding author as a PDF file for checking before publication. Page proofs are considered to be the final version of the manuscript. Note that missing data will be highlighted at proof stage for the author to correct, particularly in references. Corrected proof must be returned to the editorial office within 4 working days. With the exception of typographical or minor clerical errors, no changes will be made in the manuscript at the proof stage. JHPR will be published freely online to attract a wide audience and authors can freely download the PDF file from which they can print unlimited copies of their articles.

Separate documents in Word format are submitted in the following order:
(1) Cover letter (Copyright Transfer Agreement Form);
(2) Title page, including title, the authors' full names and affiliations;
(3)  Main text file, including title, a standard abstract, keywords, body of the text (introduction, material and methods, results and discussion), references, figures and tables;
(4) The names, addresses and e-mail addresses of 2 potential referees.

 

(5) Complete two forms (Copyright & AI) online during submission.
